LOS ANGELES – Michael Jackson, the “King of Pop” who once moonwalked above the music world, died Thursday as he prepared for a comeback bid to vanquish nightmare years of sexual scandal and financial calamity. He was 50.
Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center after being stricken at his rented home in Holmby Hills. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his home for nearly three-quarters of an hour, then rushed him to the hospital, where doctors continued to work on him.

Medical reports of the 18-year-old girl, who was allegedly raped by Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja, have confirmed that she was sexually assaulted, police said. “We have received the medical report of the victim and it has corroborated with what the victim has alleged against the actor in the FIR,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Niket Kaushik told PTI. Ahuja’s house, where the alleged offence was committed, was also sealed by the police after a special forensic team visited the house to obtain more evidence from the spot. For the first time, Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto has confessed that she’s in love with Dev Patel. So much newsprint has been used up speculating about Freida’s love life. That she dumped her Mumbai-based fiancé after the release of the film was confirmed by the man himself, but neither Freida nor her ‘Slumdog’ co-star Dev Patel came clear about their relationship, even as Anil Kapoor , who played the quiz show host in the film, said in February that he suspected that something was going on between Dev and Freida.
